And so the neighbor and girlfriend left for Koh Samed for a one day trip whilst me and Al stayed on for more shopping.
We took our time to wake up and get ready for our fourth day in Bangkok. This is how holiday should be right?? We went to this cute little cafe near Ploenchit BTS for breakfast which served very good latte. Both Al and I liked this cafe so much that we went back again on the fifth and sixth day.
After a very big breakfast, we took the BTS and alight at Chitlom and walked for about 15 minutes before reaching Platinum Mall. This time round, what’s most exciting for us is the stewed pork rice instead of the shopping. Both of us were bored and tired just after 2 hours and have to stop for a latte at a cafe within the new extension of Platinum Mall. The latte was surprisingly good. We were rejuvenated and continue with our (window) shopping at Central Mall and Siam Square.
We were looking for Somtam Nua at Siam Square but it seems to be part of the section which was under construction (or we just can’t locate it). So we ended up in a Japanese ramen place cos Al was having some craving for ramen and we took the chance. Al was in love with the ramen and finished the soup to its last drop. Whilst Al love his porky soup, I also like my spicy ramen which suits my taste bud (spicy and not too porky). After the unexpectedly satisfying dinner, we went next door to satisfy my sweet tooth while Al took a break at the smoking corner. I ordered a latte which was served in cheena ware and profiteroles with banana. Perfect combination.
Of cos, we had to work the calories off our asses at Siam square where the (weekend) flea market was. Although we did not buy anything from the flea market, it was just as fun looking at the stuff they were selling.
End of Day 4.
